Through 2021/22, fission set about building on our capability and expertise through diversification across industry sectors and service offerings. In the Rail Sector, we have expanded our expertise across freight and commuter rail and are heavily involved in Brisbane’s most complex metro rail projects, from new stations and trackwork to highly complex track signals and control systems. Our role as Cost Advisor on the Logan to Gold Coast Faster Rail Project demonstrates our competency in large brownfield rail projects, with the scope diversity and complexity benefiting from the teams’ experience.
Our Energy Sector involvement was bolstered in late 2022 with the Transgrid Humelink Project; an HV Transmission Project which, once complete, will be integral to the NSW and National Energy Grid. Our Humelink team are working closely with Transgrid and their Delivery Partners to procure and ultimately deliver Industry Leading transmission projects. Our core business in road transport also grew in 2022, with fission working alongside the Queensland Government Department of Transport and Main Roads on several large projects along the M1 and Bruce Highway.
fission’s Jarrod McHugh welcomed the positive outlook to the year ahead, “As we look forward across 2023 and beyond, our business will continue to build on the sustainable growth we have had over the past 4+ years, and we will continue to grow our services across Road, Rail and Energy Sectors.”
“This is an exciting period for our business. The diverse range of projects we are now involved in will provide career development and learning opportunities for our staff and allow our business to bring new talent and skills to the team. At the heart of what we do is to provide our clients and their projects with experience and credibility…..and do so with energy and enthusiasm.”
