Fission Welcomes New Team Members

Fission is delighted to welcome Fioretti Sazali and Peter Yeats to the team as we continue to grow and add experienced talent to our organisation.

Director of Operations Jarrod McHugh welcomed the new team members to Fission, “We are delighted to have Fio and Peter join Fission. Both are highly qualified engineers who bring experience and capability to their roles. Both appointments strengthen our fundamental belief in providing our clients with services and advice founded on sound construction and engineering knowledge.  We pride ourselves in the fact that our team members have an understanding and experience of infrastructure projects from business case to completion,” said Jarrod.

Fio joins as a Civil Estimator with a proven track record in supporting the delivery of major infrastructure projects including, representing tier 1 contractors on Cross River Rail, Kingsford Smith Drive and Bruce Highway upgrades. With a background in tunnelling, structures, earthworks, and drainage, Fio is driven by challenging projects and brings commitment and passion to each project that results in exceptional outcomes for clients.

Fio welcomed the opportunity to be part of Fission’s continued growth, “I am excited to join Fission and for the new opportunities that this role will bring. Fission has been involved in supporting major infrastructure works across Australia, and I can’t wait to get started and support our clients as they seek to deliver vital infrastructure across the nation,” said Fio.

Peter is a geotechnical engineer whose career has focused on the design and management of geotechnical deliverables on road infrastructure projects throughout Australia. Holding a civil & structural engineering bachelors degree from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Peter brings the team a strong understanding of geotechnical design, construction staging/visualisation, and project management. Peter’s knowledge and experience will add significant value to the work we undertake on behalf of State Road Authorities, where geotechnical conditions and materials form a fundamental part of any project.

“I am delighted to be part of Fission’s growth,” said Peter. “I look forward to bringing my knowledge and skills to bear on major road projects across Australia and am excited about the opportunity to work with the team as we support our clients across every stage of a project.”
