Key appointee boosts Fission’s capabilities and expertise

Fission is delighted to start the new year with the addition of Brendan McGillon who joins the team as Estimating Manager, further enhancing the organisation’s experience, capability and expertise.

Director of Operations, Jarrod McHugh, welcomed Brendan to the team, “We are delighted that Brendan has joined the team. He has a proven track record of success, gained through his extensive career in civil construction where he has helped deliver major projects for the private and public sectors.”

“Brendan’s knowledge of technical specifications and standards is second to none and will bolster the solutions we offer our clients, further strengthening the services we provide and supporting the long-term success of Fission and our clients,” said Jarrod.

Holding a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Queensland University of Technology, Brendan is also a Registered Professional Engineer (Queensland) RPEQ. He commenced his career at Roadtek, before joining The Department of Transport and Main Roads, Bellero Constructions, and most recently, FKG Group where he was Engineering Estimating Manager.

“I am delighted to start my new role with Fission, and to have the opportunity to work with the team to support major infrastructure projects across Australia,” said Brendan. “The devil is in the detail. From understanding how projects are delivered, we can offer specialised advice from the planning and development stages through to commissioning and handover. This team offers complementary skills across estimating, planning, risk assessment, construction, project controls and delivery. We believe that the best advice is founded on real experience, informing the cases we build for our clients”.
